Test actual playback compatibility
A file format alone does not guarantee support in every application. Open the result in the intended program. The video is encoded again, which can change detail and file size. An available audio track is included when the source contains sound.
Keep the source as well
The server processes one file up to 25 MB and ten minutes without changing the original. A smaller maximum edge keeps the proportions but reduces the pixel count. Avoid a large reduction when small text or fine detail needs to remain readable.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert only an excerpt?
Yes. Set the start and end in seconds, then check that the output includes the complete scene you need.
How do I keep only the sound?
Use audio conversion. It creates an audio file without the video picture in one of the available audio formats.
