How it works
Choose one video up to 25 MB and ten minutes.
Set MP4 or WebM, the maximum edge and compression value.
Compare file size and playback quality before using the result.
Input, result and limits
| Property | Details |
|---|---|
| Input | MP4 / MOV / WebM / MKV |
| Output | MP4 / WebM |
| Important limitation | One local file up to 25 MB and 10 minutes; play back the output. Savings depend on the file; there is no fixed compression ratio. |

Two settings with different effects
A smaller edge lowers the resolution. The compression value runs from 18 for higher quality to 40 for stronger compression. Check motion, small lettering and dark transitions. A setting that works for a quiet scene can create blocks or blur during fast action.
No fixed saving is promised
Processing takes place on the server. An already efficient video can stay the same size or become larger. Compare the actual files and keep the source: recompression cannot recover lost picture information. Selecting a shorter excerpt can also reduce the amount of data you need to share.
Frequently asked questions
Does a higher value mean better quality?
For this compression setting, the opposite applies: it compresses harder and may remove more visible detail.
Is the selected scene kept in full?
The output duration is checked. Also inspect its start and end yourself to confirm the selected range is correct.
