Choose quality for the actual use
A smaller file may be enough for a preview. Small text, diagrams and fine lines usually deserve a higher quality setting. Rendered page images have a maximum long edge of 2,200 pixels. A higher quality number does not increase that resolution; it changes the lossy JPG compression. Inspect text at the size your audience will actually see.
An image page behaves differently
A JPG retains the visible page appearance but has no selectable words, clickable PDF links or fillable fields. Keep the PDF for searching and later editing. If you subsequently need to collect several images into a document, use the images-to-PDF tool. Repeated conversion and JPG saving can introduce further quality loss, so keep the original source.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the download a ZIP file?
Selected pages are delivered as individual JPG files inside one archive. Unpack it to use the images.
Can I edit the text inside the JPG?
The words are pixels. Use a text export or a suitable editable document export when you need to change wording.
